During the commemoration of the 25 years of the Union of South American Parliamentarians and Mercosur, its President Valdemar Jr, presented the Medal of Merit for Integration to the Administrative Director of the UPM Deputy (MC) German López and to Mr. Director of Political Articulation of the UPM Dr. Flavio Monteiro.
This recognition highlights the talent and dedication that, uninterruptedly over 25 years, has been fundamental to the creation of the Union of South American Parliamentarians and Mercosur, in its purpose of strengthening the ties between the peoples of America and the Mercosur.
In both cases, Dip (MC) Germán López and Dr Flavio Monteiro forged a sense of cultural, political, social and economic integration within the UPM with the clear purpose of deepening the institutional structure of the UPM to contribute to the consolidation and democratization of Mercosur.
