The Commission of Permanent Representatives of MERCOSUR (CPMR), headed by the ambassador of Paraguay, in exercise of the Pro Tempore Presidency, Didier Olmedo, received today the Executive President of FONPLATA, Luciana Botafogo. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Mercosur Secretariat (Uruguay), with the participation of the permanent representatives of Argentina and Brazil, ambassadors Alan Beraud, Antonio Simões, as well as the coordinator of Fonplata in Uruguay, Carolina Vera.

During the visit they discussed the Trusteeship Agreement that MERCOSUR maintains with Fonplata and the progress of negotiations on possible technical and financial complementarity agreements. Minister Victorio Carpintieri from the Argentine delegation, counselor Victor Martins from Brazil, secretary Hugo Ferreira from Paraguay and the coordinator of the Focem Technical Unit, Verónica Ríos, also participated.
