On March 20th at 09.30 hours in the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires, the change of authorities took place, with Deputy (MC) Germ\u00e1n L\u00f3pez assuming the Presidency of the UPM.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

I thank the Union of Parliamentarians of MERCOSUR for entrusting me with the presidency of this institution, alongside representatives from Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, and Argentina.\n\nLatin America is not a future promise.\n\nIt is a present reality, diverse, rich, and full of talent, whose full scope we have yet to fully grasp.\n\nThe challenge is not just growth.\n\nIt is rethinking ourselves.\n\nRethinking how we produce, how we integrate, and how we generate opportunities for all.\n\nBecause there is no real progress if it leaves people behind,\nnor true integration without every territory, every community, and every voice.\n\nWe have the opportunity to build a more interconnected region, where knowledge, investment, and innovation circulate with the same force as our culture.\n\nCompeting is not about division.\nCompeting is about cooperation.\n\nAdding is not just about inviting.\nAdding is about opening spaces, building capacity, and fostering trust.\n\nThis is the path we will pursue.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
